Composite Main Rotor Blades
The standard blade configuration will be 212 rotor blades with an option for composite blades. The use of composite rotor blades due to increase lifespan and performance is the current trend in military helicopters. It should be noted that although the composite rotor blades are available and suitable for military use, they have not been certified by the FAA/CASA for use on civilian helicopters. Datasheets describing the available composite blades are included for review.
